3 Compressed Disc Fractures On Back, Muscle Spasms Around Waist To Back, Had A Fall. Any Ideas?
I had a fall five months ago and experienced three compressed disc fractures in my back. That is now better but I have severe muscle spasms that go around my waist and to my back. They get hard when they spasm. I have been going to physical therapy in a pool twice a week. I have had a bone scan and have had injections on both sides of my back but so far I still have muscle spasms around my upper waist to my back. Any ideas?
Hello.Vertebralfractures cause pain for a long time. It is normal to still feel pain. It is important, however, to be periodically examined by a neurosurgeon. Although initially the surgery was not necessary, if the pain does not decrease, the surgery can be a therapeutic option. Also you have to take painkillers daily. In my opinion Tramadol 50 mg thrice a day can be taken for treating pain. Please consult your local doctor for a prescription. I wish you good health.
