3 Year Kid, Fever, Runny Nose, Cough, Stomach Ache, Headache. Flu Or Pneumonia?

Hello,
My almost 3 year old daughter has had a fever since early Tuesday morning. It goes down with Advil but comes back as soon as the medicine wears off. We took her to the dr on Thursday and they said to bring her back if she is not better over the weekend. It's now Saturday and she is not better. In fact, she is more irritable today. Her fevers are as high as 104. She has also developed a runny nose and cough. She is complaining of a stomachache and headache, is occassionally grinding her teeth, blinking a lot, and much sleepier today. Could this be the flu or pneumonia?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi

Your child could be still suffering from Viral infection sometimes it takes a week for it to resolve .
Pneumonia and flu has in addition to cold & cough increase in respiratory rate.

However since the fever is now going on since 5-6 days it would be advisable to get her evaluated again and maybe run few investigation to rule out infection. In the meanwhile keep her well hydrated and give her light diet.

Hope to have anwered your query
