3 Year Old Suffering From Frequent Cough And Cold Problems
Good morning Dr.
I am having 2.9yrs old child, now I am keeping him in baby sitting & also he goes to play group since last 3-4months. He is suffering from cold cough problems every alternate 15-20 days, two times he had fever. Once the antibiotics are given he becomes normal, then the things are getting repeated. Also I gave Monticope for one month as advised by doctors. For that month he was ok, but now? I am very worried by giving him these medicines frequently. So now I am confused. Please suggest me should I opt for homeopathic treatment. Does it suites every child? I am worried because he had suffered from seizures when he had fever above 100 degtee (1.5yrs). And cough cold follows fever also.

As you describe, it appears that the baby had the allergic reaction to some thing may of food,clothes,soap, or cosmetics.
You can trace out that allergen by noting down the things used previous day of the fever,and avoid them to get rid of the fever.the fever could be due to the eosinophelia, a sort of allergy. Can be controlled by using the di ethyl carbamazine citrate when ever there is fever. If it is the cause can have relief for longer duration.
The seizures could be the infantile febrile seizures ,the baby will not get the seizures beyond the age of 4 years. He can get the relief of allergic fevers also beyond that age.
So far, take care when ever he gets the fever.
