30 Weeks Pregnant, Severe Body Itching, Fluctuating SGOT,SGPT Levels. Any Harm To Fetus ?

hi, my pregnancy is 30 wks n i m exeriencing severe body itching. i got sgot n sgpt test done on 13/8 so sgot was 58 n sgpt was 86 i was recomended to take tab actibile but when i got the tests repeated on 31/8 the reports were shocking sgot was 196 n sgpt was 204. kindly tell me the reason n also let me know that will it affect the fetus

Welcome to HCM.
You are currently suffering from Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy (ICP) which occurs in 3rd trimester due to increase bile acid secretion by impaired liver function.
Your liver enzymes are markedly elevated. Do corresponding blood for serum bile acid test.
The symptoms usually dissolve after the delivery of the baby.
So you have to take Tab ACTIBILE with other soothing agent like calamine lotion or other antihistamines.
Some harmful affect on fetus is there like Preterm delivery, Meconium staining during delivery and even IUFD. So need close monitoring and special consideration after fetal lung maturation (34 wks+). Always consult with your doctor.
