31 Weeks Pregnant, Have Dark Spots On Torso, Under Arm Pits, Wrapping Around Breast Area. How Can I Get Rid Of It?

I am 31 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child. I have noticed dry, dark spots on my torso under my arm pits and wrapping around towards my breast area. The spots are not in the armpit, nor on the breast. Any thoughts on what it is, or how to get rid of it? I m too embarrassed to ask my doctor, for fear that its just a hygiene issue, although I have tried every soap, astringent and such out there. Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
You are pregnant and during this period pigmentation can come in various parts of body as you must have noticed in other areas also,this is called cloasma, many times neck and face known as Mask of pregnancy.
You should avoid exposure to sunlight and use sunscreen lotion with good SPF.
usually these pigmented area dis appear in 3 months after delivery.
In rare case they persist also hence please do not worry but please consult your Dermatologist just to make sure.
You should not feel embarrassed about anything please do ask your doctor also He/She will be happy to help you.
