Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
31 years ago i was biopsied for a large 7 cm mass at base of my liver. It was a hemangioma which thank heavens bled back into itself and I was told I had it since birth. Now I am having a scan tomorrow to be sure a mass of similar size (calcified) is the same hemangioma. My blood work shows a minor bilirumin increase. Could this increase be significant and something I should be alarmed about? My physician said he is concerned because the mass looks like it is blocking my bile duct. How can a hemangioma be controlled if it is blocking my bile duct?
