Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

What is WBC count?

It is important in interpretation of the complete blood picture result.

ESR is high and it is a non specific test and it is elevated in anemia, chronic infections.

I advise you to continue the medication and write back to with the WBC count so that I can give you the advise.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.

Pediatrician Dr. Y V Siva Sankara Murty's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.
I can understand your concern.
Was a throat swab for culture done?
If so what is the report?

What does the total count say? What is the neutrophil count like?

Is he responding to those antibiotics?
Did the fever subside? If so continue the antibiotic as prescribed by your doctor.
Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
