43 Years Old, Low Heart Rate. Do I Need A Pacemaker?

I am 43 and was told that I might be in need of a pacemaker due to the fact that my heart rate is 49 or less. I have no insurance so I can not go to a Cardiologist to find out. I am scared about this. I am trying to find out a way to get insurance of any kind and one of the things I was looking at was social security disability

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi,first whether you are having symptoms like giddiness, blackouts etc/.Not necessarily one having heart rate of around 50 or less need pace maker.I advise you to consult a Cardiologist and get yourself evaluated and find out the reason for your low heart rate.Later he will be an apt person to advise you regarding need for pacemaker. My sincere advise to you is don't neglect your health-get an insurance or social security disability on a priority basis.Remember these-"Health is wealth" and "Prevention is always better than cure".Take care and wish you good health always.
