46 Yr Retired Military Male With History Of Excellent Health,

46 yr retired military male with history of excellent health, until 20+ years of belching/bloating got so bad that I had to seek help. Have been seeing Gastro Doc for months of testing (endoscopy, colonoscopy, gastric empty test, parasites, bloodwork, etc.) and they have concluded that I have SIBO caused by diverticula - although we have not conducted final (Berium sp?) testing to confirm since Doc said it would not affect treatment - which is to periodically beat-down the symptoms with antibiotics. A large part of this conclusion is that my symptoms have improved with treatment. Well, that has been the case until recently. Last two doses (over past 6 weeks) seem to have done less to stop belching/bloating, and once bloating starts, my body seems to rush immediately into leaky-gut problems resulting in my entire body feeling feverish, nausea, weak, fatigued, muscle shakes, etc. Throw in malabsorbsion and an extremely slanted diet, and I have dropped from a healthy 185lbs to 165lbs (and dropping ...all muscle). Side note: I am taking Adderall (diagnosed Narcolepsy approx 9 months ago) but it does little good (better than Provigil and Ritalin which did nothing). Also started taking Finasteride (enlarged prostrate) for three weeks. Lastly, as of the past two days, after working in the yard, I have VERY noticeable muscle ache - not from soreness, but from something which is similar to when I tried (and aborted - Doc's orders) cholesterol-lowering-meds (not sure the name, as this was four years back). Oh, and I now have canker sores behind my tonsils (new problem also). These are being looked at, for the most part, as separate issues, but I am wondering if they are connected. Also, I am not sure if this muscle ache (feels like my body is starting to eat muscle for energy) is something I should seek urgent care for. Sine I stumbled across this site, and it says someone is on the other end, I thought I would ask for any recommendations. Please advise if you think we may be missing something. Thank you, Mark
