5 Year Daughter, Suffering From Loose Motion, Stomach Cramps, Blood Traces In Stool. Taking Medication. Cause Of Blood In Stool?
Hi doc,my 5yrs daughter is suffering frm loose motions fever stomach cramps from two days now fever is undercontrol from 15hours ,but there was blood traces in her stools and stools are still loose brownish in color,doctor gave her oz(nitazoxanide and ofloxacin for orao suspension,)bifilac,pracetemol and anafortan medicine for stomach cramp now I am worried for her blood in stools plz suggest

it seems that your child is having Acute Bacillary dysentery giving rise to a bit of blood.
Continue with same medicine for 3-5 days and he will be alright.
Give plenty of water and electrolytes.
If there is no improvement then consult your doctor and go for stool testing.

Dysentery will take time to get subsided.
Continue the medication as advised by the pediatrician.
Once stool culture report comes, the antibiotic may be modified depending on the report.
