Dear Tizahaz I am sorry to hear your daughteris not well. I think your daughter has got
infection of the belly button or umbalicus. She may have got bladder infection which is called
cystitis. It is obvious it need to be treated with antibiotics.I suggest you take her to your
doctor who will take a swab from the umbalicus for culture and sensitvity also send urine for
culture as well. After that she could have antibotics. In the mean time give her burley water
repeatedly and paracetamol syrup for bladder infection and and keep the belly button clean.
I wish your daughterto get speedy recovery. Kindest regards Dr. S.K.Mukherjee
Pain while passing urine can be due to urinary tract infection or due to some local problem. If she has any redness or itching she may be having fungal infection. If there is no local problem please get her urine examined. She should also be given drugs for worms regularly. Infection of belly button can be managed usually with local antibiotic cream. Clean the area daily and dry it. If there is no improvement she may need systemic antibiotics.
