Hi
Infants will spend most of the time in sleep in early months of life, as the age grows the sleep requirement will decrease and their sleep will be not continuous and in sleep-wake alternating cycles.
As you will travel by air better to not go for any sedative drugs for sleep as they will cause excessive sleepiness and depression of protective reflexes and interfere with feeding.
So try to manage your traveling by interacting with your baby, taking assistance while managing your luggage.
Happy journey.
