6 Weeks Baby, Spasms In Arms And Legs, Rolling Eyes. Sensitive To Formulas. What Could Be This?

My granddaughter is 6 weeks old. She is having some sort of spasms in her arms and legs. On occasion, her eyes roll as well. These episode last only a few seconds. She is otherwise healthy and normal weight and development. She does have a sensitivity to certain formulas - my daughter breastfeed and uses Alimentum formula to supplement. I am concerned she may be having seizures.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

Yes the description you gave is suggestive of seizures. Your baby requires complete examination.

Investigations like blood sugar, ultrasound cranium (neurosonogram), total counts, CRP etc may be required.

Continue to ask further queries.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
