6 Year Old With A Whitish Patch On The Neck. Vitiligo Diagnosed. No Family History. Is It Possible?
hello i am ratna , my son he is 6 years old has small pigmented white patch on his neck since 1 year. now it is slowly spreading in dotted form. i consulted dermatologist and he said that it is Vitiligo . is it same or some thing else? b coz in our blood relation no one has same. without any blood test can the diagnosis .

Hi, yes there is a test called woods lamp examination that could differentiate a vitiligo from tinea versicolor which also usually occurs in the neck region. so ask your doctor to go for it and you can know what it actually is. take care

Hi ratna ! Is it itchy or give pain , if no then may be it is vitligo. Yes it is genetic but sometime occur without a cause. Keep giving cream and medicine given by doctor. Be safe bye.
