7 Year Kid, Burning Vagina After Swimming, No Problem Out Of The Pool. Chlorine Sensitivity? Solutions?

My 7 year old has always complained of burning vagina straight after swimming. Its summer and getting worse with every swim. Some pools are not as bad as others Its never any other time except when she swims. In fact it stings so bad when she swims that she cant take the pain. Out of the pool No problem Been checked before for utis and -ve. Today we tried diaper cream to stop the burn with no success. Any other ideas seems like a chlorine sensitivity. Any solutions? Much appreciate any advice thanks carmen

Hi Dear,
Welcome to the platform of Health care Magic,
It appears to be sensitivity to some chemical/chlorine or simple water exposure. there may be some skin/mucosal excoriation in the vaginal area (raw area) which may be leading to such burning sensation.
To help her, it is advisable to apply some local anesthetic gel/ cream before going for the swimming like lidocaine cream etc , also add some anti inflammatory cream along with that to promote healing of that area.
Hope your query is answered.
Thanks
