Hello,
My son is 7 years old and has been sick with a fever off and on for 3 weeks....about a month ago he got over strep throat...now he is having a fever of 102 and complaining of severe pain in his leg and left arm...along with a severe headache. I am getting very scared..should I be? Is this common in young children?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for your query on Health care Magic.
Recurrent fever should be investigated.
Physical examination and investigations like complete blood picture, malaria, complete urine examination, widal test, sedimentation rate, throat swab to be done to look for the focus of infection.
Clinical examination will help to know the focus of infection like throat, ears, phimosis, or skin rash.
Hence I suggest you to consult Pediatrician for examination and investigations.
Hope I have answered your question.
Regards.
