7 Year Old, Unable To Open Eyes, Sensitive Towards Light. Had Sleepless Night. Cause?

My 7 yr old woke up and could not open her eyes. There was no crust on the lids nor a noticeable reason. When I lifted her eye lid the eye were rolled back. She had not pain, but did have a sleepess night.
I took her to the ER, by the time we were seen both her eyes were opened. The doctor could not find any reason why this happen. The day it happen her eyes were very sensitive to light.
Is this something I should look deeper into? What would cause something like this?
