7 years ago I had a red patch about 6 inches long on my right side that was swollen, warm but had no fluid. There was no pain but soreness like muscle ache.After many tests and 8 weeks of waiting, we could not identify what it was and it went away. Shortly after I began having severe joint pain and was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. I took medicine and it went into remission. Three years ago the rash came back on my right side...no swelling or warmth. We tested for Lyme and it was inconclusive and I was told it was likely atypical shingles as I had them before. The soreness was similar to the previous episode. Currently, the soreness is back, but no rash or warmth...wondering if you have thoughts. I see the Dr. Friday
