88 Yr Old. Having Diabetes. On Medication. Having Dementia, Multiple Bowel Movements. Caused By Medication?

My Mom is 88 yrs old and has diabetes. She takes 1 glimepiride tablet in the am and also a metformin tablet in the am. In addition she takes a metformin tablet in the evening. She also has dementia and is having multiple bowel movements daily and having accidents sometimes with her bowels. Her diabetes is well regulated presently but could all of this medication be a possible cause for the issue with her bowels?
