9 Year Kid, Bed Wetting, Foul Smell For Urine. Increased Level Of Ammonia In Urine. Suggestions?

9 year old female with bed wetting every night and urine smells very strong and foul. when she goes to pediatrician they say she does not have a UTI, just has a lot of ammonia in her urine. but the smell is overcoming as well as the bedwetting issue. Have even tried getting her up every 2 0 3 hours but that often doesn't work very long. We try to limit her fluids of an evening, and make her go to br before bed. Any suggestions.

I think you should get an enuresis alarm ... it is the most effective intervention as it alerts and awakens the child as soon as her dress gets wet with involuntarily voided urine. The alarm is available on the net as well as in stores that sell medical supplies. The other thing you can do is start a star chart and award her stars for every dry night she has; also, try and feed her at least 2 or 3 hours before her bed-time.
