Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
91 yr old female, in last 2 months has fallen 2x, NOTHING BROKEN except nose! no memory of falling or feeling as she was going to. is on BP meds to keep low, but is losing weight gradually, uses a walker, mind is good, but she gets SO tired in a short period of time (talked to her at 230, she was fine and ready for me to get her to take her to vote). she called me at 3:45 and told me never mind becuz she was so tired and thought of going anywhere didn't appeal to her. she couldn't tell me what it felt like, just so tired. Is eating because she knows she has to, and I asked what she ate today. minimal. I asked her what she was having for dinner and she told me the thought of food turns her stomach. Did go to her primary yesterday and Blood work was ordered. No phone calls yet. I am leaning (and i'm no dr) toward dehydration and she tells me she is drinking water but i'm not there to watch/see/know. She is on several meds but all have been going along just fine! I did ask dr if dosage should be changed due to her increasing age and weight loss. no answers yet. ugh. I just worry. any additional ideas/suggestions? thank you
