A Few Years Ago I Had A Double Bunionectomy...The Pain

A few years ago I had a double bunionectomy...The pain was extremely severe and not relieved by Dilaudid. In 3 days I have to undergo another foot procedure (bil.) due to complications from the previous surgery. Tendons are stretched on the right and my right heel hangs about 1 1/2 inches over the side of house shoes. The big toe on the right side points outward, the big toe on the left points inward pushing the adjacent toe up, causing pressure on the top of my shoes. Can you recommend a pain reliever that will work for me? Dilaudid is worthless. It also does not work on my son and daughter. I am not one who takes narcotics often, I would rather feel normal..Any suggestions?? Virginia
