A Lump Under The Left Earlobe Which When Pressed Give Numbness To The Face, Dizziness And Anxiety?

I have a small lump, about a centimeter big around, it is directly under my left earlobe and just shy of my jawline on my neck. When I press on it, I begin to feel numbness on the side of my face and I become a little lightheaded, and then anxiety ensues, should I go to the hospital? My doctor is closed.

Hi,
This may be a lymph node that is close to a facial nerve. When pressed it is compressing the nerve and causing numbness. You do not need to attend the doctors urgently. It is likely to disappear in a few days. However, if it remains after 2 weeks, I suggest you see your doctor for examination.
Regards,
Dr K A Pottinger,
