A Monofocal Lens Was Implanted After Cataract Removal In Dec.2016.

A monofocal lens was implanted after cataract removal in Dec.2016. The post op (3 weeks) exam visit indicated I now have 20/30 vision in that eye. My distance vision remains "fuzzy"....not able to read road signs or street signs. I have astigmatism in that eye but the doctor said it was minor so I did not need the Toric lens. He suggested the Toric lens for the other eye with a lens that would provide "monovision" (left eye distance, right eye close). Since my distance vision is not that sharp in my left eye, I am concerned that the monovision will not help me to see better. I am trying to not have to wear glasses.. I did have monovision contact lenses several years ago.
Is it possible to have the "distance monofocal" lens replaced with a Toric lens for better distance vision?
