ADHD. On Adderall, Klonopin. Do The Drugs Effect Each Other?

I am a 34 year old woman mother of a young child and an avid runner. I take Adderall for ADHD twice a day and it has changed my life for the better. I recently lost my father and was prescribed klonopin for anxiety related to grief. How does the stimulant effect a depressant type drug like klonopin. Does it change the way each are supposed to work or how long they last?

Hello,
welcome to Healthcare Magic.

Klonopin contain clonazepam. It is used in abnormal/excessive grief for anxiety and sleep difficulty, for short duration only.

Adderal is stimulant and it decreases inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity symptom of ADHD. It is used for long term.

If you are using adderal for long term and tolerating it well, then it is less likely to affect depressants effects of klonopin.

Wish you good health and all the best.
