Abdominal Cramps, Blood In Stools, Urinating. Need Help
I had severe abdominal cramps for 48 hours followed by bowel movements-not diarrohea.I noticed blood on the tisse once and then passed a small amount of bright red blood.I have to rush to toilet soon after eating since the above episode usually preceded by abdominal discomfort.I have several bowel movements a day-sometime each time I pass urine.I have not had any blood in my motions since .Can you advise me please Doctor.I am a retired nurse aged 66years Thank you Lily O'Byrne
After reading your post, it seems that you might be having infection of the gastrointestinal tract.
You can take antacid like omeprazole 20 mg along with antibiotic like ciprofloxacin 500 mg twice a day along with metronidiazole 400 mg thrice a day and a lactobacillus preparation. Dicylomine can help in relief from abdominal pain.
I would also suggest that you should have your stool examined for Routine/Microscopic and also for Occult blood.
If the problem persists get a colonoscopy done and get yourself examined by a Gastroenterologist.
