Hello and welcome to HCM,
The symptoms that you have mentioned are no doubt due to regurgitation of acid in
esophagus and throat.
Soreness of the throat is due to acid irritating he throat mucosa.
Stress is one of factors that increases acid secretion in the stomach.
For symptomatic relief,
proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) can be used.
PPIs are group of drugs which decrease acid secretion in the stomac.
they are taken empty stomach.
Certain life style modifications need to be followed to decrease acidity e.g.
1. Relaxing exercises
2. Avoiding spicy foods, excessive tea, coffee, alcohol
3. taking stroll after dinner
4. Sleeping with head raised
An upper gastrointestinal
endoscopy is required to look for any lesion in the esophagus and stomach.
You need to refer an gastroenterologist for an examination and relevant investigations.
Thanks and take care
