Abdominal Pains, Non Gravid Anteverted Uterus, Thin Endometrial Plate

am a 23 year old lady and my last menstural period was on 22/04/12 now am having abdominal pains and i ended doing abdominal scan which revealed a non gravid anterverted uterus measuring 86mm by 36mm by 40mm with a regular outlined echotexture seen. endometrial plate appears a thin strip. fluid collection measuring about 14.8mm in depth noted in the pouch of douglas. what does this mean?

Thanks for writing in.
This is a normal report and there is nothing that you need to worry about. Fluid collection in the pouch of douglas is indicative of ovulation. This would be normal if your LMP was 22/4/2012. Also, the thickness of the uterus is normal.
There can be several other reasons for abdominal pain like pelvic inflammatory disease, infection of the small intestine and peptic ulcer. If you can let me know the details of the pain and any other symptoms that you have, I'll be in a better position to help.
