Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
46 yr old woman. Two EKGs done..one March 2010 and one last week. Both are abnormal with Anteroseptial infarct. Resigning heart rate is usually low 60's, last week was 49. Have been having palpitations that make the chest cold then forces me to cough. Could this palpitation be a sign of something more serious with the abnormal EKG? Tank you.
It may mean Coronary Artery Disease or Degenerative Disease of Conduction system. HOLTER (24 to 48 hour ambulatory monitoring) / ECHOcardiogram / TMT (Treadmill exercise ECG) / LABORATORY work-up – may all be necessary for further assessment and assistance. You may even need Electro Physiological Studies (EPS) The treating doctor may suggest them depending on need, based on his assessment of the situation.
Take care Wishing all well God bless Good luck
