Abnormal EKG Readings. Possible Old Anteroseptal Infarction. What Do The Readings Indicate?
I have had abnormal ekg readings for the past three yes., I am 47 year old female. I went to a pre-op appt last week and they sent me to pcp for cardiac clearance due to abnormal ekg. My pcp did an additional ekg and got same abnormal results which say: abnormal p terminal force - possible left atrial abnormality and low r waves in anteroseptal leads - possible old anteroseptal infarction . I was sent to a cardiologists for an echo the same day and am still waiting for results. I am very nervous, can you tell me what the readings indicate?
Hi ,
welcome to HCM
first stay relax ,
do not panic ,
it might possible silent infact has been occure with out your notice and you have ECG changes but in female this type of finding may present without having underlying heart problem , fianl answer will be by doing 2D Echo test if it normal no need for worry so wait till Echo report and follow your cardiologist advice .
take care
