Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
About 9 months ago I had all my top teeth pulled and 4 implants put in to hold my new teeth- the all on 4 implants, they snap on! The dentist perforated a sinus cavity on one side, backed out the implant and moved over a bit and put it in! Since then I’ve been on antibiotics 5 times, suffered with extreme sinus issues, the side of my face where perforation occurred stays slightly swollen most of the time and this week was diagnosed by an ENT with E. coli in my sinuses! My question is this something I picked up somewhere or could the perforation of the sinus cavity caused this infection?
