About a week ago I got up quickly from my chair to answer the door and apparently pulled one of my left quads.
I am a 72 yr old male, fit, always active, and have injured these same muscles twice through the yrs. , 35 yrs ago when I tried to beat out a ground ball w/o being warmed up enough, my entire leg turning purple from groin to toes in the coming days. The second time 10 yrs ago in a bike crash where I rolled three times with my leg through the frame, same result, 14 lbs of fluid gained in next two days. So, these muscles are a bit calcified, hard, tight, the first to get sore. But now they just aren't getting better very fast. I assume it's due to even less elasticity as I age. Any advice?
