1. as your wife had cesarean section she can be allowed for vaginal delivery only if cesarean section was done for non recurring indication.
2. if it was done for recurring indication its advised to have elective cesarean by 39 weeks
3. if she is allowed for vaginal delivery as per obstetricians advice she can wait till 40 weeks to get pain
4. pregnancy beyond 40 weeks is not allowed in previous cesarean.induction of labour is also risky but can be done with caution

When was your wife's last menstrual period(LMP)? By USG (Ultrasound scan) what is the expected date of delivery? Is she perceiving good daily fetal movements? What was the indication for the first caesarian section? Since the first baby was delivered by C- section, most likely this baby will also be delivered by Caesarian section.So probably on a certain date, the doctor might post her for an elective caesarian section.Meanwhile,tell your wife to lie down on the left side while lying down or sleeping. Keep a count of daily fetal movements.If there are good fetal movements , thats good. Visit the obstetrician immediately if any leaking P/V(clear / black/ red fluid trickles from the vagina), if any abdominal pain or back pain,if reduced or no fetal movements. Once again, visit the obstetrician if you have any queries or doubts.
