Accidentally Poured Boiling Water On My Feet...kept Cold Water For

Accidentally poured boiling water on my feet...kept cold water for half an hour...and then later applied silverex ointment... Will this prevent blistering? What should I expect of the wound to happen now...pain was so severe especially with change in temperature..like burning sensation is so severe when I take my feet out of the water and when I touch it..it's now red compared to rest of the skin...
