Hello chale1973
Welcome to HCM
taking methadone for long makes an individual dependent both physically and psychologically, its very difficult to quit. But fortunately you are highly motivated to quit so its easy in your case. Since its day 2 and coming days you will face a lot of irritability, anxiety, restlessness, lacrymation, yawning, tremors, some times fever, sore muscles, spasm in stomach. If an individual is highly motivated and dose intake was not very hight, he/she very rarely face severe withdrawal. Mostly they suffer mild flu like symptoms. So taking symptomatic treatment is enough. But if you have spasm you can take non opioid pain killer like NSAID such as diclofenac or other drug. Continue taking anti anxiety medicines, and other antidepressants.
all the best.
take care
