Dear Dr. Sudhir, I m Associate professor.I’m addicted to gutkha chewing although I’m aware of its harmful effects but i feel helpless in quiting Gutkha chewing, however i have tored many times and got succeeded for leaving it for max 15 days but somehow i started taking it again. I recommend you obtain a tobacco substitute, such as a nicotine patch, gum, or spray. This will ease your withdrawal from gutkha and prevent relapse. If this is ineffective, there are stronger medicines available from a physician, such as bupriprion and Chantix
