Addicted To Codeine Phosphate. What Is The Best Regimen To Follow To Get Through Withdrawals?
I am addicted to codeine phosphate , sometimes using up to100x10mg tablets a day...I had been in recovery for 7 years prior. I am a high functioning addict and continue to work etc. I have to now stop, as I am going abroad for 6 weeks...what is the best regimen to follow and is there anything that can help me through the withdrawals?
Thank you for your query.
The best regime is one where you are really serious about stopping. At the very high dosages you are abusing , you need to withdraw over a ten day period. Taking Benzodiasepines for a short period (7 days) will help. However I must warn you that this is not easy, and there is nothing that will take away withdrawal symptoms all together. For that reason I suggest you seek professional help to assist you through withdrawal . I wish you well in your struggle , it will be well worth your effort . Kind regards.
