Hi my name is kerri, im 26! I was addicted 2 herion on and off for 8years!! I stopped using 2years ago with 1 or 2 lapes in between! Over the past few months i have gradually reduced my methadone and im proud to say i had my last dose 5days ago!! Through my entrie habbit when withdrawing i found the leg acheing the hardest thing to handle. My ankles are still acheing and feels like i have to constantly stretch. Methadone can cause bony aches and pains for upto 3-4 weeks after stopping it. So see a doctor and get a painkiller like Ketorolac and SOS Tramadol along with low dose Arkamine(Clonidine). You ve been through two years. A few more weeks and you ll be clean. Tell yourself you ve been okay so far and want to continue the same way. 6 more months. If you get an urge tell yourself not today, I'll see tomorrow. Go for NA meetings. Hang in there.
