Addisons Disease, Diabetes. Taking Hydrocortisone. Taken MRI Of Pituitary Gland. Visit Endocrinologist?
Hello. I am at my wits end! My son is 22 years old. A student at University of Pittsburgh, Johnstown. He was diagnosed with Addisons disease a year and a half ago. I need a good endocrinologist who specializes in Addisons. He takes hydrocortisone and fludrocortisone everyday. His ACHT level is supposed to be between 10-48. His is currently 1,100. down from 2000. He has had two MRI of pituitary gland, Negative. His current doctor specializes in diabetes in New Kensington, PA. She said his levels are a "mystery" to her. I would like some answers. He called me today and said he has been having severe back pain, but he doesn't think it's his back. He thinks it's "inside" him, like his kidneys. He also has become very tired over the last couple of months. i would like to take him to a endocrinologist in Pittsburgh. Can you help me please? Thank you for taking my email. Christine Spece
