Hello Doctor, My baby is 2.5 months and she is having green stools from yesterday with gas coming out quite frequently. She passed loose motion around 5 times yesterday and today also around 5 times. She is sometimes resistant for breast feed. Otherwise looks good. Kindly advise. Rgds - Sharath
HI Well come to HCM I really understand your, let me inform you for the green stool it is due to empty stomach, but in pediatric age group it could be due to viral infection, bacterial infection, although it may not need any treatment but probiotic like lactobacillus can be tried, just be patient it will be fine soon, it is pretty common condition in this age group, if the symptoms persist then it may demands some clinical work up and for that you will have to see the pediatrician, else it is nothin to worry concern, hope this information helps
