After radiation treatment for hyperthyroidism i began to gain weight. I am now an obese woman with hypothyroidism. I was taking a hormone drug and ace inhibitors. My body rejected both these medications.
My physician prescribed various doses but my reaction [extreme vomiting] still occurred. After an EKG i was referred to a cardiologist who suggested surgery. That was 2 years ago. I now have new doctors. My internist has placed me on 3 meds that seem to be working. I have congestive heart failure but am able to continue working inside and outside of the home despite tiring easily. Now that everything appears under control i am 80lbs overweight and can't seem to lose the weight no matter what I do, any suggestions? I am 62 years old.
