Medical History: Diagnosed with Helicobacter Pylori infection about 5 months ago. Endoscopy revealed erosive mucosa and esophageal reflux. Was treated with regiment of 2 antibiotics and 1 proton pump inhibitor. Completed regiment, yet symptoms persist months after.
List of Symptoms:
Fatigue, Nausea, Dizziness (lightheadedness/heavyheadedness), lack of concentration, memory problems, diarrhea, bloating, gas, muscle twitching, random pains around body, ice-pick headaches, acid reflux, yellow coated tongue.
I have had these symptoms for a year and 8 months, but the doctors have not been able to diagnose me with anything. We tested for lupus, HIV, syphilis, clamidea, gonorrhea, celiac, diabetes, etc....
Based on my own personal research, I suspect hypochlorhydria (inadequate stomach acid production) to be the primary cause of all my symptoms. I believe that the H. Pylori caused damage to the secretory hardware of my stomach, so now I can'r produce enough acid to break down proteins and absorb nutrients. Causing vitamin deficiencies, etc...
