Am I Cured Of Hepatitis-B Infection If No Medicine Is Advised?
Good day doctor
I have hepatitis B virus, i have been on drugs for about 5months now and my last lab result gave 3436 IU/ml, 3,54 log
they use a coversion factor of 1 IU = 5.82 copies
the doctor didn't give me any more drugs he only ask me to come back after 3 months.
does this means i'm fine already, can i have sex with my girl friend now with out condom, can we kiss now!

thanks for posting query at HCM.
your treating physician has advised you as per your "blood results". The virus is NOT replicating, so no need for treatment now. follow-up after 3 months is sufficient.
its better to avoid sexual activities BUT if your married, it maybe continued if she is vaccinated against HBV, three shots required for immunization against HBV should be completed.
