Am I To Live With Palpations At Any Time After An Ablasion On My Heart?

I had an ablasion on my heart 2 and 1/2 weeks ago. still having palpations. still taking diltiazem 240 mgs a day. they told me this was normal and would probably stop in 2 weeks to a month. I still feel homebound and need to know if this may get better. now I wonder if they will stop or if I am to live my life with palpations at any time. last night it went on all night.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi I read your query very carefully.

I suggest to wait for another two weeks to see if the palpitations will disappear.

If not you should be checked again by your cardiologist with holter monitoring to see what kind of arrhythmia you have.

If you have the same arrhythmia than the procedure should be considered unsuccessful and should be done again.

Hope it was of help!
