Am taking 200 mg Amiodorone following open heart surgery. My Cardiologist tells me it is the strongest antiarrhymic drug. I still get the skipped beats and I still get the odd ones like A-fibs. He wants me to go for 1 month on this drug and then will change what happens. The goal is probably, from what was said, an ablation to stop the arrhymias. In the IV form they kept it covered with a brown plastic bag to keep sunlight out.

Is this drug even safe? Or is it really toxic and should I be afraid of it?
