Angiogram Is Required After Normal ECG After A Breathless Night?
hi My father is 57 years old last week one nite,he had little breathlessness and could not sleep,he went to washroom and then passed stool and he could sleep.Yesteday he got his 2deco,Ecg test done. Test results show they are normal but doctor suggested angiogram my doubt is ,is angiogram required

Hi Breathlessness and later passing stool suggests that he might have gone into sudden vasovagal shock after some smaller cardiac event. Sudden onset of breathlessness, the cause should be ruled out. Echo & ecg sometimes do not depict, ischaemic changes, in that case angiogram is the best procedure to rule out any cardiac associated problem. Thereby I would suggest you to go for it.
