Anxiety And Depression, Experiencing Disorientation, Heart Pounding, Seizure, Panic Attack. Taking Wellbutrin And Xanax. Explain

I just began taking Wellbutrin for depression and xanax for anxiety, I went to my best friends wedding, It was very emotional, I was drinking, I only had 25 mg of xanax earlier in the day and 100 mg of wellbutrin. I went to sleep and I woke in the middle of the night feeling like I had electricity zapping me from head to toe, I couldn't move, I was disoriented and my heart was pounding out of my chest, I thought it was going to explode. It stopped and a few seconds or minutes later, another one. I thought I was going to die, was it a seizure or a panic attack? Please help, I'm afraid to go to sleep. I'm also quiting drinking while on this medication. I realize I shouldn't mix rx and alcohol, it was very stupid...

I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.

It could be one of these possibilities
1. Hypoglycemia
2. Panic attacks
3. Hypocalcemia

Any of these three could have occured and will have to be investigated. You should never mix your meds with alcohol.
