Anxiety, Gas, Throat Feels Tight, Shortness Of Breath. What Is Wrong?
Hi There,
I have been burping a lot like constantly. I have been lately told by my doctor that i have anxiety but with period of time it has got better. Now i have started to get burping problems and i burp a lot. My throat get tight and i feel short of breath because of the tight feeling in my throat. What will you suggest me in this case ?
The causes of burping include: 1. Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) 2. Gall bladder pathology 3. Anxiety- as mentioned by your doctor 4. Peptic ulcer due to excess acid production in stomach 5. Consumption of gas producing food products
Management includes: 1. Treatment of underlying cause 2. Dietary & lifestyle modifications 3. Medical management- Proton pump inhibitors like Omeprazole, Pantoprazole, etc. (which prevent acid formation in stomach) 4. Avoid stress..practice meditation.
There is no need to worry, you will be fine.
