You should get following investigations done :- 1. Fasting Blood Sugar. 2. Complete Blood Count ( CBC ). 3. Kidney Function Test. 4. Urine examination (Routine / Microscopic and Culture / Sensitivity).
For loose motions, you can give an antacid like Omeprazole 40mg once a day before meals along with Domperidone 30mg. Antibiotic and antiamoebic along with probiotic will be helpful.
He should be given light meals. You should take care of maintaining his hydration.
If the symptoms persists, get him examined and investigated by a medical professional.
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern for your father, UTI in male patient is very unlikely, for the diarrhea it is mostly self limiting, only matter is hydration, if he does not have any fever then no need to worry if I would be your doctor then I would treat your father with the following treatment, 1) lyophilized bacillus three times in day hope this will help your father, take care of him have nice day.
