The symptoms are apparently due to an obstruction in the colon (either a growth, polyps or impacted stools. You should undergo a
colonoscopy at the earliest, to visualize the inside of the colon for the exact cause. The treatment will depend on the cause.
Other possibility is that of infected fluid in the
peritoneum, causing ileus (
paralysis of the colon), which can account for puffiness over face.
In the meanwhile, take plenty of water, high fiber diet, Psyllium husk/powder and 2-3 days' course of a strong purgative, such as,
Liquid Paraffin or
Lactulose to clear the obstruction.
Consult your Gastroenterologist and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me, order required tests, and- based on the reports- will prescribe suitable/modified treatment as advised.
